About Marland

'MARLAND' aiming to honour the breed that has captured my heart.

I became involved with the Weimaraner breed in 1992 when I purchased JAZZ - Britfeld Love That Jazz from Britfeld Kennels. Little did I know what fun and challenges she would lead me on to. At JAZZ'S first show she took out BABY PUPPY IN GROUP and I have enjoyed showing ever since, handling JAZZ and others now to their Australian title and many other show successes.

In 1998 I was joined by NOVA from Yland Kennels who went onto great show success gaining her Australian Championship in 2000. Nova's first litter arrived in January 2001 from which I kept TYLA and SHADO (who was owned in partnership with D & R Marx). SHADO gained his Australian Championship with ease by 13mths of age and became my first homebred Champion. TYLA became a mum in 2003 and her daughter COCO also gained her Australian Champion. In 2007 KAEDE joined us from Yland Kennels.  She gained her Australian Championship title in 2008, whelped Marland's H litter in 2010 and was back in the ring during 2014 at 8 years of age to gain her Neuter Title.  In 2013 BECKER from Talfryn Kennels joined us.  He gained his Australian Champion title in September 2015 and his Neuter Champion title on 1st March 2020 at 6yrs and 8mths.

I don't only enjoy Weimaraners, I have many other interests which include cooking, travel, music, painting and housing design. I am a TAFE lecturer in Building Design with a career background in Architectural Drafting.

I am a current member of and registered breeder with DOGS VICTORIA.

I am a past member of the Weimaraner Club of Victoria, the Weimaraner Club of NSW, the Weimaraner Club of SA and the Weimaraner Club of America.  For almost 15 years I was a member of the Victorian Gundog Club, an active committee member and I managed their shows for over 10 years.
